Function Description

• Digital Impression Taking: Enables dentists to obtain highly accurate digital impressions of the oral cavity. The powder – free scanning feature allows for a more pleasant experience for patients, eliminating the need for applying powder in the mouth. It captures the natural tooth substance and gingiva without any coating, reducing an extra work step.
• True – Color Imaging: Produces precise 3D images in natural color. This feature helps dentists clearly differentiate between the preparation margin and the gingiva, which is crucial for accurately defining the preparation margin during the subsequent designing process in the CEREC software.
• Shade Detection: The scanner has a shade detection function. Based on the scan, it can analyze the shade of each tooth, providing dentists with objective support and more confidence in selecting the right restoration shade.
• Fast and Precise Scanning: The “guided scanning” feature helps in quickly and precisely creating a digital impression of the entire jaw. The software provides feedback and detailed instructions, making it easy for users, including assistants, to operate. It can complete a full – arch scan in a relatively short time, with a single – crown capture time of about 2 minutes.
• Versatile Restoration Design: The data obtained from the scanner can be used to design a variety of dental restorations such as inlays, onlays, partial crowns, full crowns, veneers, and provisional bridges. It supports different types of ceramic materials like Vitablocs Mark II, IPS Empress CAD LT, HT and Multiblocks, IPS e.max CAD, Paradigm C, and Paradigm MZ100.
